The Grammys is an event where artists are rewarded for their accomplishments. A lot of artists from a variety of genres attend the Grammys. The Grammys took place on January 26, 2020This year the Grammys were memorable. Like Alicia Keys speech to Kobe Bryant. And Demi Lovato singing her new song “Anyone” which is about how she lost hope. It was later reported the song was written 4 days before her overdose.

Billie’s Night

Billie Eilish won a total of five Grammys. When Billie Eilish won her fifth Grammy, she said “Please don’t be me”. You can see her mouth it to the camera right before they announced that she had won. She even said in one of her acceptance speeches that she didn’t deserve it. She said that because she knew she was going to get a lot of hate for winning.

When it was announced that Tyler had won, he was ecstatic. He accepted the Grammy with his mom on stage and she was crying tears of joy since this was his first Grammy ever. He gave thanks to his mom for doing such a good job in raising him. He also thanked his manager. He thanked his friends and his family for trusting his ideas. He also thanked his new fans and his old fans. He really emphasized that he wants to thank Pharrell Williams because he made him feel comfortable in being himself and he also opened many doors for him.

Best Rap Album – “IGOR” Tyler the Creator

This is Roddy and Hussle’s first ever Grammy win. This is Hit-Boys second Grammy win. Hussle’s family accepted his award. DJ Khaled, John Legend, and Nipsey Hussle’s family went up to accept the award. They thanked God for making it possible. They also thanked Nipsey Hussle. “This is for Nipsey Hussle”. John Legend then goes onto thank his family and fans.

Best rap/sung performance – Higher,” DJ Khaled featuring Nipsey Hussle and John Legend

This is 21 Savage’s first ever Grammy win. Although this award wasn’t shown broadcasted on tv, he showed his appreciation on Instagram. “Big 4L thank you mama for making me and thank the @recordingacademy who would of ever thought…yessirskiiii!!!!”

100% That Grammy

Lizzo won her first ever Grammy. She was completely shocked when it was announced that she won. She was fighting back tears when she went to go accept her award. She talks about how quickly ones priorities can shift and how if she hadn’t reached out to certain people she wouldn’t be where she is now. She then goes onto talk about how artists need to “start making music that moves people, making music that feels good, that liberates people.” She thanks everyone for lifting her up and she reminds people to hold each other down and lift each other up.
