Money, the thing that makes the world go round, and for a high school student even more so. If you want to go to football games, hang out with your friends after 2 years in quarantine, or anything else outside of campus, you’ll need it if you want to do it. And the best way to get money? Finding a job. This is easier said than done, however. Lucky for you, this article has everything you need to know about types of jobs, reaching out to get interviews, and even tips for interviews.

When it comes to searching for jobs, ask your family for any connections that could get you an easy interview. If you don’t have any connections, the next step would be to look around on job-finding sites such as Indeed to see what companies are hiring. When talking to the job director of Edison, Mrs. Grisby, she suggested that walking in and asking the manager about an application. The in-person connection makes a lasting first impression with the manager.

If you end up landing an interview, there are a few things you can do in order to put your best foot forward. Mrs. Grisby recommends that you go in with confidence and dress nicely to show your best self. For more interview tips, make sure to ask Mrs. Grisby in South Admin.
