On  November 19th 2017, I watched the movie “Justice League”, directed by Zack Snyder. I watched it at the Edwards Cinema 22 in Riverpark. This great film is the latest in film in the DC cinematic universe and tells the story of the formation of the Justice League and resurrection of Superman.

During the film I very much enjoyed the performance of Gal Gadot. Ms Gadot plays Wonder Woman, everyone’s favorite Amazonian. After she was introduced as Wonder Woman in the Wonder Woman solo movie, everyone knew Gal Gadot would be amazing, and she did nothing but further those thoughts after her performance in Justice League. She delivers her lines with confidence and hits her punchlines with good time. Other than her line delivery, her physical acting and fight scenes are well done.

Along with the impeccable performance of Gal Gadot, I also enjoyed Ezra Miller’s portrayal of The Flash. He was good comic relief  in an otherwise fairly dark movie. As someone who watches The Flash on the CW it was interesting to see his interpretation vs that of Grant Gustin. At first I was unsure if I liked the Flash but by the end, he was one of my favorites in the movie.

Besides the amazing acting from the actors, the production was through the roof. The sets were beautiful and fit with the contents of the scene. The muted palette of most of the were thrown for a loop when it came time for the final battle. Everything had went from muted desaturated tones to hues of red. It just gave the ending of the movie a different level of intensity.

In conclusion, I say this movie is worth a trip to the theater. Though DC movies may have a bad wrap with critics, this one included, I think critics were wrong with this one. It seems as if after the success with the solo Wonder Woman movie, DC’s content has gone up. If you are someone who is a fan of DC, comic movies, or just an enjoyer of a good action movie, I’d say this movie is for you. Just go into it with an open mind and don’t rely so much on critics making decisions for you.
