I think it’s fair to say that this season has been a disappointment. After an amazing season, the boys soccer team were looking to build on it and looking towards another valley championship appearance. Halfway into the season, the team has been struggling. But why? What is going on?

The biggest problem this season has undoubtedly been injuries. Injuries have destroyed this team. The “Starting 11” have not played together all season. Injuries have caused at least 1 or 2 players to always be out and inactive and that takes a huge toll on a team trying to make the valley championship. It seems as if every game there has to be a different starting lineup and that in itself creates even more problems. Constantly having to play with a new set of guys around you makes it hard to have any real chemistry among the team. Playing like this, you never get comfortable playing with someone. You’re not used to their runs, not sure what they might be thinking, if they’re likely to give you the ball at a certain time, etc. The team has been very unlucky this year but they will still continue to fight and are still hopeful for a Valley Championship.
