It’s been 2 years since edison basketball has won a valley championship and this might be our year to get back to the top.

We can talk about how this team can fight back from adversity very early in the season. We started off the season 3-6 losing games in 4 day tournaments across the valley. Losing games from multiple buzzer beaters, bad starts, and some off flukey moments of inconsistency. Then we regrouped and went on an 8 game win streak and have been 11-2 since. We’ve also experienced what it feels like to win big games, winning a tourney out in Visalia over the holidays.

We also have the talent to win as well, having guys with the opportunity to play at the next level. Guys like Teyjohn Harrington who is playing at the next level, only a different sport. Hackett who is our leading scorer also plans to play college ball, along with James Hannah our best big man. Multiple other players who aren’t seniors yet will have college careers in basketball, football, even in baseball. So we have the talent and the same coaching staff as the valley champions did, so there’s no reason why this can’t be our year.
