We all try our best in Fortnite, but some of us are just better at getting that late night dub than others.

Here are 5 tips to help those who struggle to get that much craved victory royale.

1: Pay attention to the storm

One of the most important, you need to have you eyes on the storm at all times. A good player will never let the storm catch them off guard, and a even better player will use it to their advantage. Great games can be ruined by failure to pay attention to the storm, so make sure you are always watching.

2: Build Build Build

It’s nearly impossible to compete without being able to build fast and confidently. Nothing is more satisfying than being able to build your opponent, and it will surely help you win. Try practicing during games, or go into playground mode to get to grips with it. Still, nothing teaches like actual confrontations with others, so try and get in as many build fights as you can to get better.

3: Know the map

A good player needs to have a deep understanding of the map. They should know where all the best drops are and where to go once the game has started. Without this, your stuck wandering around clueless waiting for someone to surprise you, cutting your game short.

4: Organize your inventory

Make sure your inventory is organized in a way that makes sense to you. You don’t want to end up accidentally switching to the wrong item under pressure. An organized inventory can be the difference between life and death, so take some time to experiment and find the best layout for you.

5: Watch the professionals

By far the easiest and most entertaining way to improve your game, take some time to watch some professions play and take note of their strategies. Just a few minutes and you can learn something new that can greatly improve your gameplay.
