2016

This was the last year of Kobe’s Legacy and the start of the “new” Lakers. They started it off by signing current Lakers head coach Luke Walton. The Lakers got the second round pick this year and drafted potential star in Ivica Zubac, and Brandon Ingram, who they depended their future on. They also traded away future potential and current all star in D’Angelo Russell. In the off season they lost former sixth man of the year Lou Williams to their their neighboring team the Los Angeles Clippers.

2017

2017 is the year the Lakers made some major moves. They disposed of their major cap holders in Brook Lopez and drafted some major potential in Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and even draft steal Kyle Kuzma. This season was very bad, but better than the year before, and lead to a bright future for the Lakers.

2018

This is officially the Lakers best year since 2009. A legendary off season in signing the best player on the planet in Lebron James. Along with Lebron they signed former champion Rajon Rondo, two time champion Javale McGee, and even former rival of Lebron Lance Stephenson. Unfortunately this came with the cost of two of the lakers big men: Thomas Bryant to the Washington Wizards, and Julius Randle to the New Orleans Pelicans.

2019

This is the year of utter confusion for the Lakers, and it looks like nobody is safe except for Lebron James. New trade rumors have been generating every single day for Super Star Anthony Davis. Head coach Luke Walton may be fired any day now.
