Edison’s Pride Club is having a fundraiser from October 23rd-25th. The Club will be selling plastic pumpkins for 2 dollars and will have materials for decorating them for Halloween/Fall in room W111. If they sell all the pumpkins, the club will be able to have many more events to support LGBTQ+ community here on campus, “The money will be used to support the club and student body by paying for supplies for LGBTQ+ activities”, the club advisor commented.
Ms. Lawless, the advisor of Pride Club, said “We are a club that meets to offer support and education about the LGBTQ+ community and issues they face.” Pride Club is a safe place for LGBTQ+ people to meet and express who they are and be who they want to be. Pride club meetings are on Thursdays and in W111.
If you want to paint pumpkins and have a fun time or just support the LGBTQ+ community, please go to the fundraiser, buy a pumpkin, and paint it.
