In November, we start having rainy days, high winds, chilly mornings, and temperatures around 40-70 degrees. This is the lead into cold and flu season, something that lasts until early Spring in Fresno. To prepare students should start to wear warmer clothing, including coats, sweaters, gloves, beanies, boots, jackets. Anything that will be enough to keep you warm during this time of year is recommended.
The cold and the flu is very common during winter season in Fresno. If you are exposed to cold weather with no clothing to protect you, it’s a high possibility on getting it. Some symptoms of the cold and flu are coughing, a sore throat, stuffy nose, headaches, or body aching. To avoid a cold and the flu, its highly recommended to wear thick, long sleeves, clothing that will prevent you from getting sick.
It’s best to remind friends and family to start buying new clothing that includes long sleeves if they haven’t already. Start getting your heaters fixed to make them hotter in the house. There are always ways for coldness to get in the house without even knowing it. The garage is always known to be the coldest. People don’t think of putting an AC leading to the garage. Even without being near people, you can get sick in your own house if there’s barely anything to keep your house warm in the winter.
If you haven’t already, start buying stuff to keep your house warm and yourself warm. It’s the beginning of November! Start checking the weather too.
