Edison’s Esports is going to start up soon which will mean we are looking for more players. Esports typically meets every Tuesday and Wednesday right after school til 5. Tuesdays are usually practice and Wednesdays are usually days where you go against other schools. The game Esports will be playing is Overwatch 2. Overwatch 2 is a first-person shooting game that requires communication and teamwork. 

Overwatch 2 is a team-based game so there are roles players must fill with 5 players on one team. The first role is the tank. There is only one person playing tank on the team. The second role is damage. There will be two people playing. The third and last is support. There will also be two players playing support. 

As a team, you must work together and communicate while fighting the enemy. There will be three different game modes. Escort, control, and hybrid. Escort you must push a payload, control you must conquer a point, and hybrid is a mix of both. The game is best out of 3 so if you win two matches in a row you win against that team. 

Esports is a very good experience that can teach people about teamwork, cooperation, and communication. It’s also very fun if you enjoy playing games because you just play games but competitively which can add to the fun.
