Students lined up outside the gym waiting to get into an event Edison hadn’t held in many years. The Homecoming dance returned to Edison after many years without. The eventful night was held in the gym and was decorated in black and gold. The theme of the dance was “Edison the Musical” inspired by the popular Disney movie High School Musical.
The decorations were subdued with a line of balloons along the ceiling and a clapboard and vase with flowers on each table. The music was provided by a DJ who played many popular songs like “Cupid Shuffle”, “Cha Cha slide”, and “La Chona” which had everyone on their feet and dancing along. There was even a photo booth to take photos with your friends.
If you got hungry outside there was a food truck and some seats to sit down outside. It was the perfect night for a date and many people danced all night on the dance floor. There was 1 slow dance song which was “Love” by Keyshia Coles. The DJ seemed to have a good read on the crowd because nearly everyone seemed to dance to each new song.
The entire night was captured by some student photographers taking pictures of all the memories. In the end, everyone looked happy with their experience.
