Top 5 Books You Must Read

Crystal Rocha Reyes, Staff Writer

Must-Reads are a category of books that changes from person to person, but I have gathered my suggestions if you are looking for some good books and don’t know where to begin.

First, I think one good book series is the Harry Potter collection. I think it’s a good collection because it talks all about the mystery, wonder, and thrilling excitement you could have in a book.  It starts off as introducing a school with four different classes, and you must wear a magical hat to see which one best fits you. It’s also a series of the curious adventures you could have away from home.

Next, another book is Wonder which is about how hard it is being a kid who looks a little different and how the character is affected by it. There’s only so much one small kid could handle, and he talks about the life he had when he was little and how it was stressful for everyone including his sister coping and adjusting to life.  The stresses they go through also show how much everyone cares as well as the love. It’s a very heartfelt book that is very emotional.

Also, another amazing book is The Little Prince its main theme is the importance of looking beneath the surface to find the real truth and meaning in things.  There is a fox who teaches the prince to see with one’s heart instead of just with one’s eyes. I believe it’s an amazing wise story that is waiting to be read and it’s also one story that was told to kids while growing up.

Also, another great book would be Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children the main theme about this story is magic, belonging, and protection. It is a mysterious book of different kids that’s all unique in their own way.

Lastly, I think another amazing book is The Walking Dead comic series because it’s an American post-apocalyptic comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, who was the artist on the first six issues and cover artist for the first 24 with art on the remainder of the series by Charlie Adler.  The themes are: fear, betrayal, sacrifice, hope, leadership and the conflict between good and bad. Like the television show, there is rich character development and psychological growth of the characters.

As you can see, I believed these books to be top on my list and these are really good books just waiting to be open and discovered.
