Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th was long considered a harbinger of bad luck.  Friday the 13th has inspired a late 19th century secret society, an early 20th century novel, and dozens of horror movies. It describes fear of this supposedly unlucky day.

· What’s so unlucky about the number 13?

Researchers estimate that at least 10 percent of the U.S population has a fear of the number 13 and each year the even more specific fear of Friday the 13.

I ASKED SOME PEOPLE IF THEY THINK FRIDAY THE 13TH IS A UNLUCkY DAY

· I asked Cassidy, a Junior at Edison; she says, “No I feel like it’s just a myth”.

· I also Asked Rayvontay he says  “I don’t believe in unlucky or lucky stuff,”  but for this day he says he, ‘believes it’s an unlucky day.”

· Aliyah says, “I believe it’s unlucky just cause I’ve seen a lot of bad things happen on that day”.
