Last fall’s footbal season was not one to remember; it was Edison Football’s worst season ever, and the coaches do not want that to ever happen again. Part of the plan to rebuild after a losing season is a stronger pre-season prep.

Spring Ball is something every school does. It happens from the beginning of spring to the end of school. During this time, the football team practices two hours a day (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), and on Monday and Friday, they have weightlifting. Towards the end of Spring Ball, the football team jumps into 7 on 7 games against other schools to put their training into action on the field. During this time, the coaches recommend players begin signing up for summer camps to expose the players to college scouts and a different level of play.

Summer is when a lot of training is going to be done. It consists of a lot of conditioning in pads and getting to see where everyone fits within the team and on the football field. With the coaching staff and the young talent that we have here at Edison, it is going to be a tough decision to decide who will be starting on Varsity or Junior Varsity next fall.

Going into June there will be several  7 on 7 games and anyone can come out and support ET players. We will also be playing on June 4th  at Hoover for a Spring Ball Tournament. Other dates consist of June 11 at Fresno State, June 18 at Cal Poly, and June 25 at San Jose State.
