As the years go by, we tend to be more on our phones, scrolling endlessly on social media. Many of us have forgotten the magic of books but with the rise of ‘BookTok’, the combination of books and social media platform, TikTok, we are reminded of so many stories yet to be read.
If you haven’t read in years, you may feel overwhelmed by so many book options. How do you know which books to read that you’ll find enjoyable. Here are some options that may fit your style.

If you want a book that has great LGBTQ+ representation, this book is the right choice! The clashing personalities of Alex Blackwood and Molly Parker is what makes them a great duo. The two girls, slight enemies at first and then ‘friends’ follow a plan that gets them to their own individual goals. Although every step of the plan is followed, the goals for both girls have changed. In the end, feelings are felt, and truths are spoken.
The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
This book is great for fans of mystery and thrillers. It follows Hannah Michaels as her husband disappears after being under investigation for a crime. He leaves behind his daughter and now Hannah and her step-daughter must uncover the truth and the secrets of the past.
